The 4 Prerelease Promos of Destined Rivals Officially Revealed
Prepare for trouble! And make it double!
The prereleases for Destined Rivals are officially available starting today. Tournaments will be held at Pokémon Leagues from May 17 to May 25.
The set includes 244 cards: 182 from the main set and 62 secret rares. It features Trainer’s Pokémon (Team Rocket, Misty, Ethan, Steven, Cynthia, Marnie, and Arven).
Our set takes its cards from the Japanese decks “The Glory of Team Rocket”, “Heat Wave Arena”, and “Mary and Steven”. It also includes promotional cards from the October 2024 Gym sets, such as Hippopotas, Hippowdon, TM Machine, and Rabsca ex (alongside a reprint of Rellor to make it playable).
Prerelease Promos of Destined Rivals
This is the first time in years that our set does not feature alternate-art prerelease promos. They are all direct reprints from the main set with a stamp—so the same artworks that can be pulled from boosters. Our prerelease promos usually use illustrations from the Japanese yearly High Class Pack, so this might suggest that there won’t be one this year, possibly because the Mega Evolution block will begin in autumn instead of January. Of course, this is just speculation for now.
Where to Get the Destined Rivals Prerelease Build & Battle Box
You can get early access to the Build Battle Box for the Pokémon Scarlet & Violet – Destined Rivals expansion by participating in official events held between May 17 and May 25, 2025. During these events, players will have the chance to receive the Build & Battle Box, which includes four booster packs from the expansion, a preconstructed 40-card deck, and a randomly selected holographic promotional card.
